Hebrews 6:1 Therefore leaving the elementary teaching about the Christ, let us press on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God. (NASB)
Grow up! Most of us have said those words to someone at some time. We wanted them to quit acting immature. Perhaps we wanted them to quit being annoying them. Perhaps we wanted them to saying silly things and say something intelligent. So, we may have added, “Act your age.”
I wonder if there are times when God says to us – or at least to me, “Grow up.” The Bible says when we invite Jesus into our lives that we are “born again.” We are spiritual babies. We are not supposed to stay that way. We are supposed to grow up. We are supposed to become spiritually mature. We need to grow up into the deeper things of God.
